rotowent self-adjustable chimney-pot

Rotowent self-adjustable chimney-pot
The Rotowent self-adjustable chimney-pot is designed to be installed on gravitational chimney duct outlets: ventilation, combustion gas and smoke ones. The chimney-pot, because of its original construction, always sets itself in the direction of the wind and employs its force dynamically in order to support the stack effect. Maximum operational temperature of the rotational system mounted in slide bearings: 500°C. Maximum operational temperature of the rotational system mounted in rolling bearings: 150°C.
When should a Rotowent chimney-pot be used?
  • When there is no strong stack effect present in ventilation, combustion gas or smoke extracting ducts
  • When there is twisting air arising from the unfavourable location of chimneys (i.e. below roof ridge, high buildings or walls near the chimney etc.)
  • In unfavourable terrain configurations, strong and frequent winds (zone II and III wind load)
  • In the case of installation of chimney-pots on smoke ducts (fireplaces, solid fuel-fired boilers – coke, coal, fines, wood) a version of the Rotowent with slide bearings and a cap made of heat resisting sheet metal is recommended.
Rotowent Dragon self-adjustable Chimney-pot
The Rotowent Dragon self-adjustable chimney-pot is a device that dynamically uses wind force to support the stack effect. This new and unique chimney-pot (because of its shape and bearing) has been designed for extreme situations and especially for ends of smoke extracting chimney ducts (fireplaces and solid fuel-fired boilers), including short ones, where temperatures at the end of the chimney may reach 500°C. The chimney-pot, thanks to its original construction, always sets itself in the direction of the wind, independently of direction, force and kind of wind and is characterized by excellent efficiency parameters, and location of its bearings outside of the chimney-pot cap eliminates problems concerning blocking of its rotational system provoked by too high temperature of combustion gases. Maximum operational temperature: 500°C. Rotational system: rolling bearings.
When should a Rotowent Dragon chimney-pot be used?
  • When there is twisting air at the end of a chimney caused by its unfavourable location
  • In an unfavourable terrain configuration and strong and frequent winds (zone II and III wind load)
  • When there is no stable stack effect available or it is too weak
  • For supporting gravitational exhaust ventilation and stack effect in combustion gas and smoke extracting chimneys
